This space will be a resource for referees seeking information about key issues, such as referee assignors, major tournaments and leagues, important dates, and education opportunities around the nation. We will strive to keep the information as current as possible with periodic updates.
However, we’re at the mercy of state associations, leagues, clubs, tournament staff, individual assignors, and other private individuals (many of whom are volunteers), and what information they have updated or want to make public.
This source is completely independent of all soccer organizations, U.S. Soccer, PRO, NCAA, NFHS, NISOA, ECSR, AYSO, SAY, and any other groups. In fact, the primary person behind this source is purposefully no longer certified as an official with any organization to remain independent.
If you find information you think is incorrect, please email us at referee@pyramidsoccernews.com.
Much of this information will soon be behind a paywall.
You may ask why?
The answer is simple. It takes a lot of time & effort to maintain.
Just like you want to be paid for the matches or games you officiate, the primary person behind this resource no longer officiates and must spend time maintaining the information with phone calls, emails, etc. We think it is a needed service to help referees navigate through the often confusing administrative landscape of officiating in the United States.
Referees often question whether a “good ole’ boy” network still controls the soccer community. Whether that is true or not, this is an opportunity for referees and others in the soccer community to help fund an independent source whose goal is to shine a light on the referee system and provide transparency to referees and the greater soccer community in the U.S.
Expenses incurred in the endeavor are related to everything it takes to maintain this resource: equipment costs, internet costs, IT costs, time, effort, etc.,
No one here is gatekeeping. No one is trying to get rich, which is why we set the monthly subscription at the minimum amount that Substack would allow - $5. The current annual amount while we build up this site is $50 (the minimum), which is a savings of around 16% of the monthly rate or a little over $4 monthly.
We are just hoping you will find this resource valuable enough to part with a handful of dollars each month to help us keep this going. Less than the price of a latte or craft beer at many places! All the best.
