New members of the board of directors and a new coordinator of the national referee program have been named by the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association, a college soccer referee organization.
NISOA earlier this month announced in late December the election of three new members to the board: Ben Trevino, of Indiana; Jude Carr, of North Carolina; and James Mayes, of Colorado.
Trevino was elected as president, Carr will serve as vice president, and Mayes was selected to fill the secretary role.
Outgoing president Marc Lawrence, of Michigan, will remain with the NISOA Board as past president. Another board role, the chairman of regional representatives remains vacant.
The NISOA Board is nominated and elected by organization members every two years to oversee the administration of the group, while staff sees to day-to-day operations.
In addition to the three board members, NISOA also announced the group of regional representatives who were elected to serve 2023-2024.
